Rules for ARC:
- NO PETS AND NO SMOKING - Those bringing pets will automatically be charged an additional $50 per pet.
- You will be billed for any damage and for lost items. So be sure to return the canoes and paddle boats, as life jackets and all other equipment, to a safe location.
- Treat the ARC (Association Retreat Center) like someone’s home. It is provided for your use by the churches of our association. Try to keep it as neat as possible during your stay with us.
- Doors should be kept shut. Open doors make the electricity bill higher than need be and the cats will wander in.
- Noise should be kept at a low level--especially after 10:00 p.m.
- Please feel free to use the food in the pantry, but leave enough money to replace it and leave a note telling us what has been used.
- Guys and girls are not to be in one another’s bedrooms and in general they should conduct themselves according to Christian principles.
- Before leaving, completely clean the entire facility. If you use it, clean it.
- Put all trash in the dumpsters that are located about 1/2 mile beyond the mail boxes you passed on the way in. Go to the mail boxes and turn right. Please make sure the trash is taken care of because the cats and raccoons have a "real party" when the bags are left here even if they are in the garbage cans.
- Don't drive on the lawn by the ARC door. There is a septic tank there and your car might break through the top.
a. All passengers must wear life vests. State laws must be complied with.
b. Secure paddle boats or canoes to dock or tree when finished with either, being sure to leave the paddles with the proper boat. When you leave be sure to return the canoes and paddle boats to the shore where they were when you got them. Return the paddles to their proper storage place.
c. If vests are wet, please hang them to dry on the rope line near the house.
If you move the lawn chairs to the dock, please return them to the yard. Even the heavy ones have been known to blow into the lake.
